The Arsenal Camp maintains an active schedule throughout the year, both defending and celebrating our Confederate heritage. The Arsenal Camp takes its name from the Fayetteville Arsenal, an important military installation of the 19th century located in the Haymount area of Fayetteville. The Arsenal helped to supply the Confederate Army with ammunition, small arms, and the Fayetteville Rifle. The A

rsenal was destroyed by Union soldiers in March of 1865 and is now the site of the Museum of the Cape Fear.

Honoring Carl A. Barrington Jr at Wreaths Across America

Yesterday, we laid a Wreath on Carl Barrington's grave. Not only was he a veteran marine that served his country, he was also a great Southern lawyer who fought fervently supporting the memory of our Confederate Veterans. We remember that when his services were needed in fighting for our SCV Fayetteville Arsenal Camp, he would drop everything he was working on and take up the cause. (see pic). We greatly miss him.

Successful Vidalia Onion Operation!
A big thanks to Dwayne Aaron for planning and leading Operation Vidalia Onion and the Fayetteville Arsenal Camp compatriots who came out Thursday, Friday and Saturday to help with unloading/loading the onions. There were three Semi trucks full of onions. We successfully completed Operation Vidalia Onion (OVA). Sons of Confederate Veterans Camps from all over North Carolina converged to Fayetteville to perform this great fundraiser that supports our mission of memorializing our Confederate Ancestors.
