Welcome to Downtown Fayetteville, Future Physicians. ❤️

It was an honor to welcome the inaugural class of the Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine to downtown Fayetteville for "A Taste of Downtown."

We hope the evening gave you more than a taste of our restaurants and businesses. We hope it introduced you to a community that is excited to support you, encourage you, and welcome you throughout your medical school journey.

As you settle into Fayetteville, we invite you to come back downtown. Meet friends for dinner, study over coffee, shop locally, attend an event, and get to know the business owners and neighbors who are already cheering you on.

When you visit downtown, please share your favorite discoveries. We love to hear what you enjoy most and see downtown through your eyes. You are not only students in our community -- you are now part of it.

We had an amazing time last night and thrilled to support Spark Downtown’s production of Midsummer Night Fayetteville for Fourth Friday Fayetteville in the Cool Spring Downtown District. The Fiary Door Hunt Quest runs through Sunday in downtown businesses. See you downtown.

Downtown is open every day, and supporting our businesses Monday through Friday is especially important during construction.

We are also moving forward with Midsummer Night Fayetteville Magic this Friday and the Magic Fairy Door quest continues on Saturday. Routes may look different, but the businesses are open, the events are happening, and the magic continues.

✨ Wings, glitter, fairy doors, llamas, music, costumes, and a little downtown magic… ✨

The 11th Annual Midsummer Magic returns to 4th Friday Downtownon Friday, July 24 from 6–9 PM in Downtown Fayetteville.

This is not a street-closure event — it is a magical meander through the downtown district. Wander from business to business for art, performers, experiences, shopping, food, drinks, photo moments, fairy doors, and fun.

Follow the Fairy Door Quest enjoy the Midsummer Crawl look for magical surprises, and take plenty of photos along the way. There will be prizes for quest participation and photo contests, including categories for adults, children, and pets.

The Fairy Door Quest continues through Saturday at 5 PM, so families have extra time to explore downtown, complete the quest, and visit participating businesses.

Come dressed as a fairy, elf, gnome, dragon, goblin, princess, wizard, woodland creature, romantasy court member, or whatever bit of magic you feel like bringing downtown.
