Meet Zoe! đź’›

Zoe creates the most adorable crocheted stuffies by hand and usually sells her creations — but recently, she decided to use her talent to give back to children in foster care through Bloom. ✨

Her handmade donations will help bring comfort, joy, and a little extra love to children who may be walking through difficult transitions. We are so grateful for compassionate young people like Zoe who are using their gifts to make a difference in our community.

Thank you, Zoe, for helping foster children feel seen, loved, and supported! 🌸

We are heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected passing of former Bloom Board Member, Emily Poole who faithfully served on our Board of Directors from 2016–2024.

Emily was a passionate advocate for foster children and a tireless champion for the overlooked and the vulnerable, always using her voice, influence, and relationships to lift up others and make her community stronger. She seemed to know everyone — and she used those connections not for her own benefit, but to open doors, bring people together, and create opportunities that made life better for others.

At Bloom, Emily was often the first person to raise her hand to help — making calls to advocate for a child’s specific needs, connecting people in the community to our mission, filling tables at our annual fundraising events, and generously giving her time, heart, and relationships to make a difference. To know Emily was to love her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside her and calling her a friend.

Bloom's CEO Becky Davenport shared her remembrance of Emily:

“Emily had a rare gift for bringing people together. Her warmth, magnetic personality, and genuine love for others allowed her to make a lasting difference in her community. We will miss her tremendously and will never forget the light she brought into every room.”
