💚 Girl Scout Bronze Award Spotlight: Meet Aubrey! 🐾
Meet Fort Bragg Girl Scout Aubrey, who recently earned her Girl Scout Bronze Award by creating a special little library for our four-legged community members!
With the help of a neighbor, Aubrey designed and built a Dog Toy Library, a community sharing station where families can donate or pick up dog toys, leashes, and other pet supplies. Think Little Free Library, but for dogs!
Located along a popular walking path, the library also includes a pet waste bag station to help keep our community clean and pet-friendly.
What makes this project even more special is the love behind it. Aubrey dedicated her library to the memory of her beloved dog, Kota, who passed away at 16 years old, along with a couple other dogs who held a special place in her heart. Visitors can read about these cherished companions on the memorial plaques displayed on the stand.
Want to check it out? Aubrey’s library is located at our Girl Scout building on Bastogne Drive at Fort Bragg. Stop by, take what your pup needs, or leave something for another furry friend!
👏 Way to go, Aubrey! We’re so proud of the compassion, creativity, and leadership you’ve shown through this project. You’ve created something that honors the pets you’ve loved while making a lasting difference for animals and families in our community! 💚
