⚠️ WARNING!!! PARTIALLY N**E ANIMAL AHEAD! 🐿️

You may have been wondering how our little squirrel is doing after her unfortunate encounter with TAR.
Well… it’s been 27 days since her accident, and she is doing remarkably well! ❤️
She’s looking pretty bare in spots right now, but we’re patiently waiting for that beautiful squirrel fur to make its comeback.
She has come such a long way, and we couldn’t be happier with her progress. Keep those good thoughts coming for our little tar survivor! 🐿️

We always welcome donations for our dedication to our native wildlife!

A friend has a mama groundhog who had 2 babies this year!
These are great photos of mom being on the lookout!!!
Did you know?
Even though they look stocky, groundhogs can climb small trees and swim across ponds or ditches. Both skills help them escape predators

Groundy’s caretaker went on vacation and her babysitter (me) isn’t who she wants!
Groundy came in several weeks ago as an orphan…
Animals, like many humans don’t like change.
Everytime I feed her, I try to have a heart to heart w her and tell her that rehabbers need vacations too!

She is fed and safe! I thought you might like to hear some of her vocalizations… they do chatter their teeth which you can hear a tiny bit in the video…

Sniffles has officially been released… and apparently, he had PLACES TO GO! 😂
Sniffles strolled around the creek for a few minutes, taking his sweet time.
Then he took off into the woods and CLIMBED A TREE! 🌳
Usually, my wildlife releases go one of several ways: they run, they meander, they hang out for a while, or they slowly amble off like they have all the time in the world.
Not Sniffles.
Sniffles decided, “You’ve watched me long enough. Now you’re going to TRACK me!” 😂
So off he went, leaving me to follow his trail and wonder exactly what he had planned next.
He was quite proud of himself.
And honestly… I was pretty darn proud of him, too. ❤️
This little guy came to us with a respiratory infection, worked hard to get healthy, and then had to overcome his reluctance to MOVE. 😂
Well, last night he made it very clear that the moving part is no longer an issue!
Sniffles is back where he belongs—wild, healthy, climbing trees, and living his wonderful opossum life. 🌿❤️

Sniffles came to us with a respiratory infection and, once he was feeling better, he wasn’t exactly interested in moving around much!
The doctor gave him a clean bill of health last week, so we’ve been encouraging him to get those little legs moving and build up his strength.
And what a difference a week makes! He is feeling like a brand-new opossum! ❤️
We’re so happy to see his personality coming back and watching him get stronger every day. 🦝💕

Warning: disturbing photos attached

Rambo….
Rambo came to us 4 months ago, from a tree trimming accident! He had some significant injuries…
He was left outside all night to see if mom would come back to reclaim him. This gave flies time to land inside his wounds, lay eggs, and hatch into maggots.
Maggots cause tissue destruction, infection, even organ damage.
He needed immediate treatment!
He had the will to live and we wanted to give him that…
Fast forward 4 months. What a beautiful, exceptional, and much loved raccoon!
Rambo was released last night.
All of our animals are loved, Rambo was treasured and will be remembered for his determination to live.
