Come HelpPresent the Twentieth Degree

Thomas Pope is putting together a local team to present the 20th degree for the upcoming Fall Reunion in New Bern. If you are a current Scottish Rite mason from any jurisdiction and would like to help out, we need a few more volenteers. Practice will be in the Stedman lodge in October. Contact Thomas Pope through his page for more information.

If you are not yet a Scottish Rite Mason, but would like to be, please contact the New Bern Temple to get into the class for the upcoming reunion. All degrees thru the 32nd are presented sequentially on Friday and Saturday. Great Opportunity to improve yourself.

Last meeting had too few members, possibly because of the confusion of having 5 Fridays in the month. It is reported however (And I too was absent), we had a great visit from New Bern Scottish Rite! Thanks for coming to Fayetteville!

We thank all who attended the graveside service of Terry Lynch, the wife of John Lynch, this morning on Raeford road cemetery. I counted over 100 present to help John and his family pay their final respects,. Our thanks to all who attended and gave John their support.

Next meeting will be at Hudson's on Ramsey, the fourthWednesday of the Month.
Don Wooster reminded all that we need volunteers to put on the 20th degree at New Bern for the Spring Reunion. Tom Pope will be running the show! Meet at Louis Dean's home on Pecan March 28, 6PM for practice. If you don't have a role, You will get one! Lots of opportunity!
April Reunion is one of the two times each year new candidates can complete all the degree work and become full fledged 32degree Masons! Call New Bern Temple for more information. All degree work is presented over Friday and Saturday!

Notice to ALL: Jim Hay our long time foundation of this Scottish Rite club has had several operations for a malignancy on an eye and may not make it to our meeting. His wife Dale is also facing problems. Please call and give your regards and remember them in your prayers.

New Elections kept most of the same officers. Bill Ivey moved to Chaplin and Robert Cope moved to second vice president. Congratulations.
We appreciate Don Wooster for performing the install. Our tahnks to Jim Hay for continuing as Secretary and to Charlie Jenkins for hanging in as Treasurer.
The club voted to donate $500 in the name of Louis Dean to the Masonic Services fund. An added $500 will be donated as funds become available, so he may be awarded a medal for his efforts in founding this organization.
