Fayetteville PACT Fayetteville Police Accountability Community Taskforce (P.A.C.T) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization.

The goal of Fayetteville PACT is to establish a civilian police-community taskforce for civilian oversight organizations that aim to increase the transparency, accountability, and responsibility of local law enforcement organizations to the communities they serve. Regardless of representation in terms of color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, or

country origin, Fayetteville PACT will fight for equality and solve all injustices. Fayetteville PACT is working to eradicate racial profiling, selective enforcement, disproportionate force in policing, and mass imprisonment.

Viola Davis is rejecting Target’s apology after the retailer pulled a children’s Halloween costume criticized for evoking racist minstrel and Blackface imagery. Target removed the $25 “Kids’ Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown” costume from its Hyde and EEK! Boutique line, admitting it “got this wrong” and acknowledging the harm caused to Black shoppers and employees.

But Davis said the apology fell short. She wrote that Target failed to grasp the historical weight of the imagery, calling it painful and dehumanizing. “I do not accept your apology, and I do not believe that you understand the impact… the pain… the dehumanization of the above,” she said, adding that the imagery laid the foundation for atrocities committed against Black people. “You have shown us that you are not on OUR side.”
