Today, we are sharing a conversation that is important to many military and Veteran families.

As a Gold Star organization, our mission remains focused on honoring and supporting Gold Star Families. At the same time, we recognize that there are many paths of loss within our military community, and every family carries a story that deserves compassion and understanding.

The families behind the Green Star recognition movement have worked to bring visibility to those impacted by Veteran su***de. Whether people agree on the approach or not, we believe that listening to families and acknowledging their grief is important.

No family should feel invisible.

We encourage our community to read their story and learn more about the conversation taking place.

We are proud to share the work of our friends at the Lion Heart Heroes Foundation and the incredible leadership of Laurie Finlayson.

What began from one family’s loss has become a mission to increase awareness, strengthen advocacy, and help protect Military Families and communities through education and access to AEDs.

Keep Being Resilient and United Gold Star Families stand with organizations that turn grief into action and work to create lasting change. We are grateful for the partnerships and friendships that make this work possible and look forward to seeing this important effort continue to move forward in the Senate.

Please take a moment to watch the video and support their mission.

Laurie Finlayson reminds us that one determined person can change lives and move important conversations into action.

Sunset Cruise was more than an evening on the water.

It was an opportunity for military families, veterans families, Gold Star families, first responder families, and community members to slow down for a little while, reconnect, share conversation, and simply enjoy time together.

Some of the most meaningful moments happen quietly:
watching the sunset,
sharing stories,
laughing together,
meeting new people,
and creating spaces where people feel supported without needing to explain everything they carry.

These moments matter.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this evening possible and to every family who continues showing up in community with one another.

Summer Soiree was more than an event.

It was an evening filled with conversation, laughter, connection, community, and moments that reminded us why spaces like this matter so deeply for military families, veterans families, Gold Star families, first responder families, and the communities surrounding them.

So much of resilience is built in ordinary human moments:
sharing meals,
watching children play,
meeting new people,
reconnecting with old friends,
and creating environments where people feel welcomed and seen.

Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, family, and community member who helped make this evening possible.

Community matters.
Connection matters.
And these moments matter too.
