Fairburn Toastmasters Club

Fairburn Toastmasters Club We are a local nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. We meet at 7PM on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday every month.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the fellowship hall at the rear of the parking lot for Bethany United Methodist Church. Our meetings start promptly at 7 PM and end at 8:15 PM. Parking is available, and attire is casual. Guests are always welcome.

Every speech opportunity at a Toastmasters meeting does not mean standing in front of a crowd. This week, we had a "speech" that involved role-playing, called "Taking the Cold out of Cold Calling". Amanda Kelley, the presenter, gave us pointers on how to warm up a prospect, and then, along with James Jones, took it a step further and SHOWED us how to meet with a prospective client. Many of our projects have real-world applications, whether practicing an important presentation for your job, making a toast at your best friend's wedding, or learning how to graciously accept an award. Come to one of our meetings and explore the many possibilities for personal and professional growth!
