Saturday night was another one for the books. We hosted the 14th edition aka the 2026 Southeastern Regional NC Poetry Slam and you missed an epic slam. A great crowd, great energy, and so many great poems. Congrats to top four poets:

Robert Cohen Jr.: 4th place
Daniel Garwood: 3rd place
Bryan Beechaum: 2nd place
Sahn Dove: 1st place.

Thank you to MH Bowens, Lauren Falls, and Letitia Brown for helping out behind the scenes. Thank you to Moses West for being an awesome host. Thank you to our judges for making the poets work for their scores. Also, thank you to The Capitol Encore Academy for once again sponsoring their school. We’ll see you again next year.
