WOW! WOW! WOW! What a start to the New Year! Five squadrons flying at Mach 3, four of which are at 100% Yeagers. (Well done
Burlington Composite Squadron, Tar River Composite Squadron, Sandhills Senior Squadron, and Burke County Composite Squadron!)
Another five squadrons are at Mach 2 and seven are at Mach 1, for a record equaling total of 17 Supersonic Squadrons. And best of
all, NC Wing's Yeager total is now 74.38%, a new high!

We welcome Randolph Composite Squadron to the Supersonic ranks for the first time and are pleased to see the return of Asheville
Composite Squadron and Iredell Composite Squadron. December saw a further 16 senior members (three of whom are Randolph Composite
Squadron members) complete their Yeager award. A huge thank you for supporting your squadrons going supersonic and helping NC Wing
reach new heights!

If you are a senior member without the Yeager, please take the test and support your squadron going Supersonic!

We are deeply saddened to share that earlier today, a Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182 crashed in Larimer County, Colo., while participating in a search and rescue training exercise. There was one survivor and two fatalities.

CAP will cooperate fully with the NTSB in the investigation. We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our members, communities, and partners, during this difficult time.
