apter does this through various means: Membership meetings, professional development, golf tournaments, College Scholarships, community schools Science Teaching Awards, community support to deployed C4 units, and the Annual Technical Conference and Symposium at Ft.

AFCEA NC is proud to say that in 2025, this chapter contributed over $95,000 to STEM grants, scholarships and ROTC programs , empowering students, supporting teachers, and strengthening next generation of innovators. We can't wait to announce the 2026 recipients!

Another amazing example of our 2025 grant and scholarship recipients!

🎉 Congratulations to Terry Sanford’s Brittany Kinsey Flather for receiving the 2025 AFCEA NC Educator STEM Grant and to 2025 graduate Jenna Kinsey for earning an AFCEA NC Educational Scholarship! 🧪🎓

Flather leads the innovative Bionics for Education program, and Kinsey will attend UNC Charlotte to pursue a STEM degree. Both were also awarded a one-year AFCEA International membership. 👏
