Every day brings new opportunities, new challenges, and new decisions. While we may have plans for how we want things to unfold, there is peace in knowing that we can place it all in God’s hands.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3

Whatever goals you’re pursuing, challenges you’re facing, or decisions you’re making, invite God into every part of the process. His timing and purpose are greater than our own.

As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we’d like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU from Live Like Elias Foundation💙💚🩶!

To everyone who wore gold, donated, prayed, shared our posts, or helped spread awareness—thank you for standing with children and families affected by childhood cancer.

To every school, church, business, barber, organization, and individual who joined us and helped carry this mission forward, we are grateful!

Join Live Like Elias Foundation in wearing GOLD or YELLOW one last time this month to support children fighting cancer, celebrate survivors, and remember our angels.

At CureFest for Childhood Cancer, we honored our Champ, Elias Carter Dukes💙💚🩶.

Seeing Elias’ name on the Angel Wall and his shoes at the Shoe Memorial was heartbreaking. His friend Cameron was among the thousands of children remembered there. We wish Elias were here to wear those shoes, grow up, and keep doing all the things he loved.

We honor Elias by speaking his name and standing with children still fighting, including our warriors Sa’Khai and Lucas. Through Live Like Elias Foundation, we’ll keep sharing his light and fighting for a future where more children grow up and live long, healthy lives.

Elias, you are our “why.”

Forever loved💙. Forever missed💚. Forever 9🩶.

✨ CHAMP SPOTLIGHT: SA’KHAI ✨

Meet 5-year-old Sa’Khai, a bright and determined Champ who reminds us that cancer is only one part of her story. 🎗️

Through treatment, she finds joy in singing, painting, music and of course, noodles. 🧡🍜 When asked what she would tell another child going through cancer treatment, her answer was simple:

“It is scary but you can do it!”

But it was her final message that really stayed with us: cancer hasn’t stopped her from playing, learning, growing, or enjoying the things she loves.

“Cancer has not and will not stop me.”

That’s the heart of a Champ. ⭐️

Thank you, Sa’Khai, for sharing your story with us and showing us what courage can look like at just five years old. 💛🎗️

Hair loss is one of the most visible and emotional side effects of cancer treatment.

⭐️Some chemotherapy drugs can cause partial or complete hair loss because they affect rapidly growing cells, including hair cells.
⭐️Radiation therapy can also cause hair loss, but only in the area of the body being treated.
⭐️Certain targeted therapies and immunotherapies may cause hair thinning or loss as well.

Elias loved his barbers before and after his brain cancer diagnosis. During the hardest moments, his barbers provided more than a haircut. They offered encouragement, support, and a safe space during an incredibly difficult journey.

This week, SEPTEMBER 21st-27th, we are asking barbers and barbershop, from near and far. To unite with Live Like Elias Foundation, to raise awareness and funds for children fighting pediatric brain cancer!

Barbers hold a special place in a person’s cancer journey. Elias loved his hair, his haircuts, and his barbers. Sitting in the barber’s chair was more than just getting a fresh cut—it brought him joy, confidence, and a sense of normalcy.

From September 21st-27th, we’re calling on barbers and barbershops - near and far - to unite with the Live Like Elias Foundation to raise awareness, support families, and fund the fight against pediatric brain cancer.

Fayetteville is glowing GOLD for our Champs. ⭐️🎗️

For the entire month of September, the Bordeaux Tower shines gold in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and in support of the Live Like Elias Foundation.

Every golden light is a reminder of the children who are fighting, the families walking beside them, and the precious lives and legacies that continue to inspire us.

And this one is extra special. 💛
Compliments of Elias’ GG, who made sure the city would shine a little brighter for her grandson and every childhood cancer Champ.
