In the interest of supporting Regimental honors and history, the SWM Foundation is forwarding this information concerning the MG Robert A. McClure Medallion Nominations that are due 31 August 2023. Please submit any questions directly to the POC at the end of this post.
--The United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) and the Psychological Operations Proponent are actively seeking FY23 Major General Robert A. McClure Medallion (Bronze, Silver and Gold) Nominations for consideration during the upcoming Regimental Honors Panel in order to recognize those individuals who have significantly contributed to the welfare and advancement of the PO Regiment as an active or reserve component Soldier, Department of Army Civilian and/or civilians in a private capacity.
Nomination Packets must include:
- Nomination letter (no longer than 3 pages): Should be clear and concise highlighting the nominees’ significant contributions to the PO Regiment, operationally or within the generating force, and as applicable continued service to the Regiment post retirement or separation. Nominations must include contact information for both the nominee (next of kin for posthumous nominations) and nominator to include mailing address, phone number, and email address (both government and civilian as applicable).
- Biography (no longer than 2 pages): This is a separate document from the nomination letter, highlighting additional contributions to the PO Regiment, Military or Civilian career highlights, honors, awards / decorations, schools / education, and or any additional relevant information
- Soldier Talent Profile (STP) / Soldier Record Brief (SRB) / Officer Record Brief (ORB), Civilian Career Brief or equivalent document (as applicable)
- Optional Professional Color Photo (DA Photo is considered professional)
Nomination packets for nominees currently assigned to a PO unit / organization (POB, POG, etc.) must be submitted through their chain of command (COC) at the Colonel (O6) level:
- Bronze medallion nominations must be endorsed by the Group Commander or fist O6 in the COC.
- Gold and Silver Medallion nominations must be endorsed by either the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) or the first O7 in the COC.
Nomination packets for nominees not currently assigned to a PO unit / organization, Sister Service or Allied:
- Bronze medallion nominations must be endorsed by the first O6 or equivalent in their COC.
- Gold and Silver Nominations must be endorsed by the first O7 or equivalent in their COC.
PO veteran or retiree nominations should be submitted directly to the PO Branch Proponent Office.
Nomination must be submitted no later than 31 August 2023
