✨ FUTURE RICH AUNTIES MEMBER HIGHLIGHT: Beverly Cornell ✨

Some businesses don’t need another logo, another Canva template, or another round of random marketing tactics. They’ve grown—and now the brand needs to catch up with the level of the business.

That’s exactly where Beverly Cornell, founder of Wickedly Branded®, does her work.

Beverly is an author, podcaster, speaker, and Brand Evolution Strategist who helps established women consultants, coaches, creatives, and service-based entrepreneurs strengthen their positioning as they move from successful businesses into legacy-level brands. Her work centers on brand evolution, authority positioning, messaging, visibility, and creating a business that reflects the level its founder has actually reached.

And y’all—she brings nearly 30 years of branding and marketing experience to the table, including experience across Fortune 500 companies, startups, and hundreds of service-based entrepreneurs.

She’s also the host of Marketing, Magic & The Messy Middle, where she has honest conversations about brand direction, visibility, business growth, and what really happens between where you started and where you're trying to go.

Your friends are not obligated to buy from you.

Let’s start there because sometimes business owners place expectations on friendships that were never discussed. Your friend can love you, celebrate you, and support what you’re building without becoming your customer.

But let’s talk about the other side, too.

Friendship does not come with unlimited access to someone’s expertise.

You can’t repeatedly ask for:

“Just a quick question…”

“Can you look at this for me?”

“What would you do in my business?”

“Can you send me that template?”

…and then call it friendship when that woman normally gets paid to provide those answers.

One quick question becomes strategy.
Strategy becomes labor.
And unpaid labor eventually becomes resentment.

Supporting your friend’s business doesn’t always require making a purchase. You can refer her, share her work, respect her prices, or simply stop expecting her services for free.

The boundary is simple:

You don’t have to become her customer—but you should respect that she has customers.

What do y’all think: Where should the line be between helping a friend and giving away your expertise?
