Double joy at tonight’s meeting!

First we had to the installation of our 2026-2027 officers. Jeannie McKee-Goodwin as Treasurer, Ernie Kearns as Vice President and Thomas J. Marone as President. Secretary Jeff Anderson will be installed when he returns.

We also joyfully celebrated with Drs. Herring and Reckley from Flat Rock Middle School’s koi pond project. This is the start of a growing relationship with an amazing school.

Get your bikes tuned-up and start working on your costumes! It’s almost time for the Tour de Frights: Fayetteville Witches’ Ride!
It’s a little different this year. We are changing the route. And in addition to brooms, we are allowing bicycles, roller skates, scooters, golf carts, etc. Dress up your ride and show up in your best witch or warlock costume. Prizes for the best costume and wheels!! All riders get a free b**r (or soda), compliments of Line Creek Brewery. We are thrilled to have DJ Wes with us again this year, spinning your Halloween party favorites. He’s the best!!
All the money raised will go to Promise Place, a local shelter for victims of domestic violence.
