We are in full preparation mode for our annual More to Give Christmas event in just one week!
Thanks to our local Girl Scout Troop 5041 for stuffing the stockings and the Fayetteville Rugby Team for shopping for the children’s wish list! We love our community and their shared passion for our mission. 🎄

November Kindness brings December Magic!!!
Have I mentioned what a believer I am in what we are doing for kids in Northwest Arkansas who have very limited or no resources at all to get to do what the rest of us do at Christmas? We believe in giving everyone an opportunity to eat a warm holiday meal, receive their own (and sometimes first) stocking and bask in the warmth of family and friends! Will you please consider helping accomplish our mission this year with a donation?

MTG and The Naturals have teamed up again this year to host 25 children and their family to experience a favorite summer event - A Day at the Ballpark!!!

MTG still relies solely on community support and engagement to provide the seasonal experiences that we do.
Maybe one day soon we will be able to rely on federal or state grants to aid us, but we aren’t quite there yet! And why YOUR help makes the wheels on this bus turn.

A $10 donation will allow for entry, and a hot dog and drink

All year, we plan to make magical holiday memories for children of Northwest Arkansas. Tonight was supposed to be More to Give NWA’s 2nd annual Christmas event at Mt. Sequoyah where families and fellowship come together. Never did we think weather would shift us to making memories in a mobile manner instead of on the mountain!

We are so incredibly grateful and blessed by the volunteers that quickly rallied for our program families! At the Yvonne Richardson Center, our board members and volunteers decorated the Jingle Bus, wrapped presents, packaged cookie kits, assembled baskets of toys with stockings, then delivered the joy in person with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

In addition to the night of Jingle driving to give Christmas ahead of bad weather, today More to Give NWA board members packaged catered meals and delivered to each family. Santa’s sleigh does not stop-not even in arctic temps! Where it would have been nice to have the traditional sit down Christmas meal with our program families, it was just as wonderful to see the happiness on faces at their homes for dinner time.

2022 isn’t ending as we expected it to, might even feel a little deflated this year, but we remind ourselves to remember… it’s the memories that make the magic. And this was definitely a magical memory.🎄♥️🎄

Unfortunately, due to the upcoming weather, it comes with much disappointment that More to Give NWA will have to cancel our Christmas event on Friday, December, 23rd at Mt. Sequoyah. Where we are beyond grateful and appreciative of all who have shared in our excitement, volunteering time, money, services, and goods; we just refuse to risk the safety of our program families, volunteers, and their families getting up and down the mountain.

We still stand by our mission of providing a Christmas experience to children of Northwest Arkansas. This year it will just look a little different! Our board members still plan to provide an experience so families in our program can still make memories to last a lifetime!

On Wednesday, December 21st, More to Give will have our Jingle Bus deliver Christmas baskets to the families we would have been spending the evening with! Jingle Bus will have Santa and Mrs. Claus to help volunteers with the delivery of surprise baskets! I also believe the Grinch will be driving!

More to Give will be assembling baskets that will include:

-breakfast (cinnamon rolls & juice) that was to be sent home with families the night of the event
-the children's wrapped wish list gifts and personalized stuffed stockings for parents to give
-a gingerbread house to decorate
-a kit for decorating cookies
-hot chocolate and s'more bites
-bibles
-blankets, hats, gloves
-a copy of The Night Before Christmas

Rest assured we will follow up with families participating in our program as we move forward and still have more to give. Where Christmas is our flagship event, we do provide other opportunities for families who are part of More to Give NWA to experience other seasonal events. We will pour our efforts and resources into our spring Easter event so please continue to stay in touch and follow us to make up for the loss mother nature incurred upon us this Christmas.

We are getting SO excited! Families participating in our program will celebrate Christmas at Mt. Sequoyah again! In just 20 days we will make memories with 61 kids this year! Thank you, Northwest Arkansas, for your continued support of our mission to give a magical experience to children in need of NWA!🎄♥️🎄
