Two wheels. No limits.

Thomas Argo, a double below-the-knee amputee, reached out to VAMP with one goal: keep riding.

VAMP got to work, adapting his bike with LegUp LandinGear, a Pingel Air Shifter, and a Flatshifter combined braking system—modifications designed around Thomas and what he needed to stay on two wheels.

This is what VAMP is all about: finding solutions, adapting the machine to the rider, and putting veterans Back in the Wind.

While attending the Missing Parts event in Florida, we had the opportunity to meet Pete Giarrusso of Chopper Design and inventor of LegUp Landing Gear, a longtime supporter of VAMP and our Veterans.

Pete's LegUp systems provide added stability for riders with lower extremity injuries while preserving the freedom and experience of riding on two wheels. When combat-injured Veteran Brian came to VAMP looking for a solution that would help him continue riding safely, we knew LegUp was the right fit.

Because Brian lives near Pete, we were able to meet both of them, see Pete's incredible shop, and ride together to Ormond Beach. It's partnerships like these that help Veterans stay independent, confident, and in the wind.

Thank you, Pete, for your continued support of our mission. We wish Brian many safe miles ahead and look forward to seeing him out on the road.

This spring, VAMP was contacted by representatives from Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson to learn more about our organization and the impact we make for injured Veterans. What started as a conversation became something truly incredible.

For the second year in a row, Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson and Justin Nunley hosted the Missing Parts event—a weekend dedicated to celebrating and supporting civilian and military amputee riders. From rides, concerts, auctions, and giveaways to incredible camaraderie, the event brought together thousands of people who showed up in force to support a meaningful cause.

A huge thank you to Justin Nunley, Gus Gusoff, Bobby, and everyone involved in making this event such a success. Your generosity and commitment to the Veteran community help make our mission possible.

Without supporters like you, VAMP could not continue helping Veterans get back in the wind.

Another Veteran back in the wind.

When Keith, a combat-injured Veteran, came to VAMP looking for a way to continue riding safely and confidently, we knew exactly who to call. The team at Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City, South Dakota stepped up in a big way—installing a Rekluse clutch, replacing the battery, and providing hands-on training to ensure Keith was comfortable on his 2019 Harley-Davidson Trike.

The impact was immediate. One staff member even remarked on the noticeable change in Keith's demeanor from the day he dropped the bike off to the day he picked it up.

Stories like Keith's are only possible because of partners who believe in supporting those who have served. Thank you to the entire team at Black Hills Harley-Davidson for helping make this happen.

Ride safe, Keith, and enjoy every mile during this year's Sturgis Rally.

BIG NEWS.

Next week, VAMP is headed to Fort Walton Beach for the 2026 Missing Parts Ride Weekend alongside Justin Nunley and Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson.

We'll be spending the day riding with an incredible community to raise awareness for veterans and civilians who deserve the opportunity to get back in the wind.

We're also honored that Justin and Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson selected VAMP as the recipient of a generous donation that will directly support our mission and the individuals we serve.

Another Veteran back in the wind. 🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day from all of us at VAMP

A huge thank you to Marc at Backwoods Customs for helping make it happen, and to Pete at LegUp Landing Gear for continuing to provide the kits, support, and expertise that help keep these builds moving forward.

This is what it is all about. Giving injured Veterans the opportunity to ride again and reclaim that freedom on two wheels.

Get ready for an incredible weekend at the Missing Parts Ride hosted by Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson happening June 26 through 28. Last year, this event raised over $70K, with the remaining donations going directly to VAMP to help modify motorcycles for amputee veterans and get them back in the wind again.

We’re beyond grateful for everything Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson does for the veteran community, and we cannot wait to be back for another unforgettable ride. We’ll be out there riding with everyone all weekend long, honoring our veterans, building community, and doing what we love most. See you on the road.

What started as an upgrade turned into something much bigger.

Brandon C, a previous VAMP recipient, came back to us because his current setup still wasn’t giving him the comfort and control he needed after injuries sustained in combat. That’s exactly why VAMP exists. When something isn’t right, we keep going until it is.

Working alongside Marc and Alan at Backwoods Customs, the solution became clear. A center stand and air ride setup built for stability, safety, and long-term comfort. With support from Mark at American Suspension, we were able to get Brandon exactly what he needed.

He picked up his bike this morning, and moments like that are what this is all about.

This doesn’t happen without the people behind it. The donors, the shops, the riders, and the community who continue to show up and trust the process. Your support directly changes lives.
