🍬 A small act of kindness can bring a big smile! The Cumberland County Council on Older Adults is hosting its Fall Blessings Treat Drive, collecting candy to help brighten the holiday season for older adults throughout our community.

❤️ Something as simple as a sweet treat can remind our seniors that they are loved, appreciated and remembered. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and spread a little extra joy!

🦯 White Cane & Mobility Day Brings Awareness, Resources & Community Together

💛 A special community event is coming to Fayetteville this Saturday, bringing together veterans, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, caregivers, families and local organizations for a day focused on accessibility, independence and inclusion!

🇺🇸 The Carolina Regional Group Blind Veterans Association (BVA), alongside Fort Bragg Harley-Davidson, is hosting White Cane & Mobility Day to connect individuals and families with valuable resources, support and opportunities to learn more about mobility and assistive technology.

🤝 A little kindness can make a big difference! The Julia Mae Community Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Clothing & Household Giveaway, helping local individuals and families get everyday essentials at no cost.

👕 From clothing and shoes to household items, this community event is all about lending a helping hand, easing financial burdens, and making sure useful items reach people who need them.

💚 A few hours of kindness can make a visible difference in our community. The City of Fayetteville Stormwater Division and Sustainable Sandhills are inviting residents to participate in a Community Litter Cleanup at Mazarick Park during National Stormwater Week.

🤝 Community Outreach at LOWE’s Ramsey Street by Eureka Baptist Church: Free Health Screenings, Food, Family Fun

💙 Eureka Baptist Church is hosting a FREE Outreach Event this Saturday, Sept. 19, with several free resources and activities available for local families.

🚐🩺 NC Baptists on Mission will have its medical van on site offering free health screenings, including A1C blood sugar checks, blood pressure checks and more.

🍔🌭 Free hamburgers or hot dogs will be served, along with plenty of opportunities to meet and fellowship with others in the community.

🧼 Hygiene kits with everyday essentials will be available.

📦 Non-perishable food boxes will also be distributed.

👧🏰 Kids can enjoy a fun zone featuring a bounce house.

💛 A Family That Has Given So Much To Our Community Now Needs Our Help

🌱 For years, Tabitha Redding has poured into our community and may be familiar to many families for the care and support she has given Cumberland County. When someone spends years showing up for others, we believe the community should have an opportunity to show up for them too.

🙏 Right now, the Redding family, a family of eight, is going through an incredibly difficult season. According to their family fundraiser, multiple medical emergencies and hospitalizations have created significant financial strain.

❤️ Tabitha shared that her husband, Zev, underwent an emergency arterial bypass in late July. One of their sons has also battled pancreatitis, requiring treatment at three different hospitals, including facilities several hours away. Now Tabitha is facing a medical procedure of her own as doctors work to remove cancerous cells.

💔 Between hospital stays, travel, medical expenses, copays and everyday household bills, the family says the financial burden has become more than they can manage alone.

🤝 This is where community can mean something. Whether a few bucks, a larger contribution, a prayer or simply sharing their story, every act of kindness can help remind this family that they don’t have to walk through a difficult season by themselves.

🌱 Kind Seeds Project is sharing their story because giving back doesn’t always require something huge. Sometimes it’s simply helping someone who has spent years helping others.

💜 Kingdom Empowerment Ministries, Inc. and Apostle Emma Speaker Dickens are bringing community outreach to downtown Fayetteville this Saturday, with free items available for local families while supplies last.

👕 Free clothing will be available, along with free food, toys and additional items for those who attend.
