👨‍🚒💗 Support Requested For Dedicated Stoney Point Fire Lieutenant And Family

🙏 For nearly two decades, Lieutenant Jim Buie and his wife Cynthia have faithfully served the Stoney Point community through the Stoney Point Volunteer Fire Department and numerous community events and fundraisers.

🚒 Jim dedicated 18 years as a Volunteer Firefighter, EMT, and Rescue Technician, while Cynthia served through the auxiliary. Together, they built a legacy of service, compassion, and commitment to helping others.

💔 Today, the family is facing a difficult chapter. Jim has been diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer and is no longer able to work. Cynthia has devoted herself to caring for him while the family faces growing medical expenses and the challenges that come with treatment and palliative care.

🤝 For years, Jim and Cynthia answered the call when others needed help. Now the community has an opportunity to answer the call for them.

🕊️ Community Support Requested For Tragic Loss of Emma Jacobs, 4, of Raeford NC

💔 Family and loved ones are seeking support from the community as they prepare an unexpected memorial service to honor the life of Emma Jacobs, 4, of Hoke County NC 🙏

📝 Hoke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Raeford residence on May 22 in regards to Emma. She was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased. The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation, and family members are grieving, while awaiting final findings from the NC Medical Examiner.

⚖️ At this time, no one has been held accountable in connection with the case. Family members continue seeking answers as the investigation moves forward and outline concern — including markings on wr!st, and bru!ses.

🚔 The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and ask for patience. Authorities have also stated that Emma’s mother’s boyfriend was taken in on unrelated 0ffenses at the home involving aIIeged drvgs and gvns.

🤝 WatchOut Cumberland County NC has provided 100 candles to assist the family with an upcoming vigil expected to be held in the Southern Pines area.

🕯️ This initiative was created by WatchOut last year to help families honor loved ones through candlelight vigils while offering an alternative to balloon releases. Since then, candles have been donated to families across our region during times of tragedy and remembrance.
