🚨 URGENT — PLEASE HELP BRING HIM HOME! 🚨

A miniature Chihuahua is missing from the Orchard Hill Road / Highway 110 area in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

This little dog is much more than a pet — he is his owner’s Emotional Support Animal. His owner is a Vietnam veteran who is currently battling cancer, and his family desperately needs him home where he belongs.

❤️ A REWARD IS BEING OFFERED for his safe return.

Please, if you live anywhere in or around this area, check your yards, porches, garages, sheds, under vehicles, and anywhere a frightened little dog may be hiding. Because of his small size, he could easily be tucked away somewhere and difficult to see.

🐾 FOR THE ONES WHO CAN’T ASK FOR HELP… 🐾

They can’t ask for a warm blanket.
They can’t ask us to save them.

They just need someone to care. ❤️

The Humane Society of Lincoln County desperately needs a kitten incubator, oxygen condenser and blanket warmer to help us care for our tiniest, most fragile babies.

🐾 PLEASE. SPAY. AND. NEUTER. 🐾

We say it constantly. We make posts about it. We beg. We educate. And sometimes I wonder if people truly understand why we are so relentless about it.

The last few days have been a pretty brutal reminder.

Recently, this mama came into our care with horrific mastitis. Her mammary tissue was severely infected, with concern that some tissue could become necrotic and require surgical intervention. Mastitis isn’t just uncomfortable—it can become incredibly painful and, if infection progresses, potentially life-threatening.

And in just the last THREE DAYS, we have dealt with three separate situations involving bottle babies.

Three.

Because when something happens to mama—or babies are abandoned, rejected, orphaned or dumped—someone has to become Mama.

That means bottles around the clock. Formula. Heating pads. Syringes. Blankets. Laundry. Stimulation. Sleepless nights. And tiny lives that can change in a matter of hours.

There are so many potential consequences when animals are allowed to continue reproducing.

Mastitis. Difficult deliveries. Uterine infections. Sepsis. Orphaned babies. Mothers whose bodies have been put through litter after litter.

And then there is the problem we see every single day: accidental litters, unwanted puppies and kittens, and animals dumped because there simply aren’t enough homes for all of them.

The cute newborn pictures are only one side of reproduction.

This picture is another.
The bottle babies filling our homes are another.

Please, please SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS. It is one of the most important things you can do to protect your animal while also helping the animals already desperately waiting for homes.

And because apparently the Bottle Baby Stork has our address programmed into its GPS… we are overloaded with bottle babies again. 🍼🐾

SHAME ON YOU.

We aren’t allowed to bring live animals to the fair for adoption, so we did the next best thing. We filled our booth with plush kittens, puppies, and even some silly geese for “adoption” — just a $5 donation each.

They were cute. They were fun. And, yes, they were cheap little trinkets.

But they had a purpose.

The Humane Society of Lincoln County receives ZERO government funding. We keep this organization going by fundraising, selling items, and relying on donations from incredibly generous people who care about the animals of Lincoln County.

And someone — actually, apparently several someones — has stolen almost every plush animal we had at our booth.

Why?

Was a $5 stuffed animal really worth stealing from a nonprofit?

Because that “cheap little trinket” was supposed to become Vaccines. Food. Formula. Flea prevention. Spay/neuter surgeries. Emergency veterinary care.

That $5 was supposed to help an animal who has nothing.

So, to whoever decided to help themselves: enjoy your trinket.

We could have used that $5.

More importantly, our babies could have used it.

And to everyone who has stopped, donated, purchased something, encouraged us, or supported our work — thank you. You are the reason we can keep showing up for the animals who need us.

We made this shirt using the actual face of one of our current HSLC babies who is still in the process of getting fully vetted.

And that face? That was his review of his intake exam. 😂

⭐ 0/10. DO NOT RECOMMEND. ⭐

Apparently being rescued is great. Being poked, prodded, examined, vaccinated, and having your personal space thoroughly violated by veterinary professionals? ZERO STARS. Would not return. 😂🐾

So naturally… we put his disgruntled little face on a T-shirt.

Now we need to know: Would anyone want one?!
