🌟 What an Incredible Week of Camp! 🌟
The Jai6 Youth Foundation was honored to partner with Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center and Serena Gunn with HEAL Holistic Journey, Inc. to provide a hands-on experience centered on creativity, confidence, and life skills for 32 amazing campers! Thank you for trusting us to provide a hands-on experience focused on creativity, confidence, life skills, and personal growth.
🎨 Vision Board T-Shirt Workshop with LaVerra Flowers Cruz
Campers designed their own Vision Board T-Shirts, creatively expressing who they are, who they aspire to become, and the goals they hope to achieve. A special thank you to Laverra Cruz, who led this engaging workshop and helped bring each camper’s vision to life.
🏛️ Civics & Economics Class with Janene Ackles Dublin
Campers explored the importance of civic responsibility, community involvement, financial literacy, and economic decision-making. Thank you to Janene Ackles for leading this impactful session and helping our youth connect today’s lessons to tomorrow’s opportunities.
🍽️ Cooking Class with Dinesha Adams
Although I was unable to be there in person, I was grateful to join virtually and teach our cooking class with the assistance of Laverra Cruz, who ensured everything ran smoothly and helped create a fun, interactive experience for the campers.
💙 I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to my incredible team, Janene Ackles Dublin and LaVerra Flowers Cruz, for being the boots on the ground, stepping up as leaders, and representing Jai6 Youth Foundation with excellence. Your dedication, flexibility, and commitment to our youth made this camp experience possible.
Watching these young people learn, create, dream, and grow reminds us why we do this work. The future is bright, and we are honored to be a small part of helping them discover their potential.
