NWA Equality and The Equality Crew have announced plans to unite youth and family programming by integrating The Equality Crew's programs into NWA Equality.
Under the proposed integration, The Equality Crew's youth programs and events would continue through NWA Equality. A Youth and Family Programs Committee would be established to help steer existing and new programming, with continuity for participants, families, and volunteers as a central priority.
Bringing this work into NWA Equality's broader organizational structure is intended to strengthen its long-term sustainability while expanding access to resources, support, and community connections for LGBTQ youth and families across Northwest Arkansas.
As part of this next chapter, NWA Equality will also launch a search for a Chief Executive Officer to guide the strategic direction of its expanding programs and initiatives.
The two organizations will host a Community Town Hall and Volunteer Appreciation Gathering from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 20th, at Handshake inside the Fayetteville Public Library.
