đź’Ľ RecruitMilitary and DAV are hosting an in-person Military Community Hiring Event this week at Fort Bragg, giving members of the military community an opportunity to meet employers, recruiters and explore available careers.

After a brief administrative closure, we are proud to announce that our doors are open again, and we are ready to get back to work for the veterans of Cumberland County and the surrounding communities.
We know some of you had to turn around. We know some of you waited. We are sorry for that — and we are grateful for your patience. You deserved better, and we are committed to making sure it doesn't happen again!

It is with deep respect and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. John Lee, a dedicated member of DAV Chapter 46 (Fayetteville), who departed this life on May 14.

Mr. John Lee embodied the very best of the Disabled American Veterans mission. His leadership, humility, and tireless service strengthened Chapter 46 and uplifted countless veterans across the Fayetteville community. Whether coordinating programs, supporting outreach efforts, or assisting veterans one‑on‑one with their claims, he served with unwavering dedication and compassion. Even during the challenges of the pandemic, Mr. Lee remained a daily presence at the chapter, ensuring no veteran seeking help was ever turned away. His legacy of service, kindness, and steadfast commitment will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

📢 WEATHER ALERT: OFFICE CLOSURE FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2026

Attention Comrades, Veterans, and Visitors:

Due to the current inclement weather and for the safety of our community, DAV Chapter #46 will be CLOSED tomorrow. As a reminder, our Chapter follows the Cumberland County School System for weather-related closures. Since the school system has announced a closure, our offices at 520 Johnson Street will also remain closed to the public.

What this means for you:

Claims Services: We remain committed to fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served. As the largest VA claims assistance office in North Carolina, we will resume providing superior services to our fellow Veterans and their families as soon as conditions allow.

Please stay safe and off the roads if possible.

Stay Informed: We will post further updates regarding our reopening schedule right here on our page.
