Good afternoon FEA members,
We want to express some concerning developments to our membership that have recently come to light in our community. The new company in Fayetteville, Swarm Aero, which plans to manufacture 41-foot wide, AI guided, weaponized aircraft, stated at a town hall this week that they had spoken with “Fayetteville Public Education Association” about creating opportunities for students to work and intern with their business.
We would like to state officially, that FEA has no association with Swarm Aero, and does not support their presence in the city of Fayetteville. The town hall this week occurred ahead of the city council meeting next Tuesday, May 19th, during which Swarm Aero’s zoning appeal will be heard to determine if their business is properly zoned to be in Fayetteville. We believe that the CEO of Swarm Aero misspoke at the town hall, and are unsure of what public education association he was intending to reference.
