Grateful to have Amy be a part of our Bladen team! ππ
Meet Amy Cooper, BSN, RN, CEN, Patient Safety Coordinator- Performance Improvement & Quality-Infection Prevention!
Over the past 10 years with Cape Fear Valley Health, I have had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I began my journey as a staff RN in the Emergency Department at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and have since served in several roles, including Lead Charge Nurse and ED Performance Improvement Supervisor. Six months ago, I transitioned into my current role as the Quality and Patient Safety Coordinator at Bladen County Hospital.
My favorite part of my job is knowing that the work I do directly improves patient safety. Whether I am implementing new processes, educating staff, or analyzing data, I enjoy seeing meaningful changes that lead to better outcomes for our patients. Having the opportunity to positively impact every patient who comes through our hospital is what inspires me each day. I also love that there is always something new to learn, making every day an opportunity for growth.
One of the greatest gifts throughout my career has been the people I've had the privilege of working alongside. My coworkers and mentors have challenged, encouraged, and supported me every step of the way, and they have played a huge role in shaping the person and healthcare professional I am today.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and spoiling our three dogs. My husband and I also love spending as much time as possible on the beach, where we can relax, recharge, and make memories together.
