Mayor Mitch Colvin’s new talking point is accusing data center opponents or those pushing for a moratorium of being “paid political actors.” (As stated in his WIDU interview with Troy Williams yesterday). Little does he and his Council allies know… the deep 💩 they’ve stepped in that will haunt them politically.

If you’re in favor of a moratorium or against data centers completely, let us know in the comments how much you’re getting paid and who’s paying you! We want our cut ⬇️ 🤣 👀

Everyday people across the nations and across the political spectrum are uniting to oppose unchecked hyperscale data center development. Working people are TIRED of being screwed over by monopolies like Duke Energy and Big Tech oligarchs. We don’t want our government giving tax breaks to billionaires while working people are struggling to make ends meet. We don’t want our environment or water more poisoned / polluted than it already is. Of course City Council can’t control all these variables themselves (we have to take that up with the state and feds), but they have a lot of tools in their toolbox.

We’d be rich if we were getting paid for this work! But we do this 100% for FREE!! for the love of our community and wanting Fayetteville to be better. Despite the false information the Mayor and Troy Williams have been pushing, FFFA is NOT a PAC. We are not a registered non-profit, 501c3, 501c4, or any other legal entity. We’ve made that decision intentionally so we don’t have to waste time on bureaucracy, paperwork or be told what we can/can’t do or say. We’re just a grassroots organization made up of individuals who care.
