K4ASF - Fayette County Amateur Radio Club We are ready at a moments notice to respond to any Natural or Man-Made Disaster or any kind of Special Event such as Marathons, Bike Rides, Air Shows, Ect. Mr.

Fayette County Amateur Radio Club (K4ASF) is a Non-Profit Volunteer Group of diverse individuals dedicated to working with our served agencies to help provide Emergency Communications in times of emergency. of emergency and provide assistance in times of need and will pull our resources together to assist our community in those times. We work with a diverse group of Served Agencies, Fayette County Emergency Management Agency, Alabama Emergency Management Agency, US National Weather Service, American Red Cross, Salvation Army Disaster Relief, Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief, Church of Latter Day Saints Disaster Relief and others. Our Call Sign, K4ASF, was held for many years by Mr. Lindy Watkins. He was a retired Telegorapher with Nolfolk-Southern Railroad. Lindy was very active on VHF and HF Bands and was a Mentor, Elmer and Great Friend to us all. He and his wife, Mrs. Esther Watkins, KC4EW (SK), were the driving force of the Fayette County Amateur Radio Tailgate for many years. We are very proud that their childern Phillip (N4TKF) and Debra, gave the Club permission to carry on Mr. Lindy's Call Sign as a Memorial to them both. Our local repeaters in the area are:

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, we had our Monthly Meeting at the Emergency Management Agency Of Fayette County office.
We elected a President, Ethan Taylor, KN4VXH, and a Vice-President, Joshua Murphy, KQ4PRY.
Last month we elected a Callsign Trustee and Net Manager, Donald Smith, KN4DKA, and Secretary/Treasurer, Kelly Garrett, KR4NRL.
Our K4ASF - Fayette County Amateur Radio Club is growing! We had a total of 12 in attendance and 4 out of town.

Our next meeting will be August 15, 2026 at 10:00am again at the Emergency Management Agency Of Fayette County office in the Courthouse Annex.
