We are one week away from Field Day. Quick show of hands...who's excited about getting together with friends for food, radio, and those pile ups that just go on and on? We can tell you that the Swampers and visitors from 6 states are all here with both hands in the air and can't wait to make those contacts with all of you. Be watching and listening for us on all bands, across 3 modes, around the clock, from start until finish. We want to wish everyone the best of luck and most importantly, remember to have fun and make some memories. 73!

The Radio Roamers having a little bit of fun with the space birds in Oklahoma and Si is even sporting some Swamper swag. We can't love this enough. If you don't have the Russell family in your logs, do you even play radio? Great job guys!

Kerri (KB3WAV) and Ray (KC3RW) headed out this past weekend for a 3 state rove and Hamfest. Judging by some of those pile ups, a bunch of you managed to track them down and helped to put those famous smiles on their faces. Rumor has it that Ray even made a few new friends with some DNR and Park Rangers that he hadn't yet met. We're pretty sure that Ray has met more officers than all of the rest of us combined and oddly, it's not for breaking any rules or laws. We give credit to Kerri for keeping him in line. Thanks to everyone who hunted them down or made it to the Hamfest and stopped by to say hi. Great job out there, kids. We're glad you made it home safely.

Who would have guessed that Mr. Curtis (KB3CMT) has a hidden talent as a teacher? Well maybe not a teacher but he certainly makes a great Elmer for a lot of people and today, that hidden talent shined through during a POTA presentation at the Breeze Shooters Hamfest. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to those who stopped by the booth to grab some swag and visit Curtis and Kerry (KB3KLT). On behalf of everyone in the Swamp, congratulations Curtis!

Larry (KE8UKX) had a dual mission today. Mission 1 was finding a new to him park, while he was on mission 2, which was a fun day trip south into Kentucky. Both missions were a success. Blue Licks Battlefield, a tour of Wild Turkey Distillery, and finally a fun day at the Beer Cheese Festival before heading back north to the Buckeye State. We even got a report that he stumbled across one of the last remaining Ponderosa Steak Houses left in existence. When you are out there having fun playing radio, don't forget to take in the sights, sounds, and tastes of the things along your journey and try to make that trip one that you'll always remember. Thanks to the hunters who helped Larry have one of those memorable days. Great job today, UKX. Safe travels back home.
