For the newer residents that have contacted us about the upcoming association meeting advertised on the billboard on Reiss & South Scott dr. , please be advised the September meeting nor any of the meetings are not associated to our association in anyway. The meeting scheduled is the Lake Thirteen Property Owners Association, and is a non-mandatory association and are considered a group This association is not mandatory as are we, nor are they on your deed as we are not Only benefits are being able to comment at thier meetings, or having the code to open thier gate over the dam for swimmers or fishing. Which legally is highly questionable because of the state of Michigan's Public Trust Doctrine, which protects the publics right to public waters, which for those unaware , or new to the lake , Lake 13 is and always was deemed a public lake . We have provided thier web page for you However, joining is not mandatory

While out on the Lake with our neighbors yesterday afternoon, noticed Savins dredger. Also noticed, it looks just like the contraption of Dr. Loveless' from the movie Wild Wild West !From what we're seeing, just as useless! 🤣 We think it's past time those sitting on Lake 13 Improvement Board, especially the most recently appointed, start to question why our lake isn’t close to completion As this useless dredger is still sitting here ?

Not many residents in this area know of the history behind Lake13IPA's experience as bussiness owners. You see I was a partner and eventually bussiness owner that was part of the founders of the Woodward Dream Cruise! The late owner of Duggans Irish Pub, Larry Payne Sr. was one of our customers to my commercial cleaning co. R&S commercial cleaning, then eventually breaking off to M&M commercial cleaning . We cleaned Mr. Paynes two establishments Duggans Irish Pub, as well as Woody's .Which were very large bar/ restaurants. We were part of the beginning of this awesome era. Unfortunately Mr. Payne passed in 2017 I believe, and his son Babe Jr. as everyone knew him, sold the bussiness. There were other large bar restaurants that were our accounts as well on Woodward. Fond memories of the start of this awesome event, that also helped create next weeks Mid Michigans cruise! #

! One of our neighbors, just informed us that the dog was caught and taken to a no kill shelter, where the owner will not be able to get him back! Job well done! Thanks to everyones community cooperation, another innocent life saved! 🐕
Just seen this dog again this morning, I tried calling to him and he ran I've reported it to animal services. I also stopped by the property where he reportedly lives. No answer.
Anyone knows who's dog this is ? Seems friendly enough. Been hanging in the road off Reiss drive & North Scott dr Lake Thirteen, older dog, possibly has mange on its back. Also looks thin and lost .. Runs away when approached 😕

Resharing this a post from last September, from the Clare County Road Commissions meeting regarding the boat launch located on Lake 13. And who owns it as well as the easements Also please note a resident, and member of the Lake Thirteen Property Owners Association, that tried to have the Road Commission, " abandon " , all easements on the lake. Clearly, the Road Commission owns all... Actual minutes from the September 2025 meeting that resulted in the removal of the illegitimate gate located at the launch.... 👇

Because of all the negative comments from supposedly, friendly "neighbors", regarding the Amish family that was innocently fishing on Lake13, a public lake, I've decided it was quite rude and quite enough. Imagine you, and you're family being singled out because you are different from the norm? We at Lake13IPA know exactly what that's like. You see, after my husband and I moved here to Lake 13, over seven years ago, and saw the flat out lies being told to the public as well as new residents about the lake being , " private", by individuals that run the other association here on the lake, all documented ofcourse, we started our own association to get the truth out to the public. Which has been met with mixed acceptance. So, in light of the rude comments by some, we have decided to remove our post of the Amish family fishing our lake. And instead are posting a stock photo of a Amish gathering lol Have a good evening everyone. And remember, it could be you one day, on the reciveing end of negativity and BS. Its also known as KARMA...
