Virginia midwives were out in full representation at annual Health Policy Summit today in Washington DC. It was a great day connecting with midwives from around the country and exchanging ideas and opportunities for advancing midwifery care through policy. This morning and midwives were at the historic signing of momnibus 2.0 by Governor

Thank you to our members and supporters who worked tirelessly this session to help us ensure The goals of the “momnibus” legislation are:

-Expanded care for high-risk mothers
-Increased access to maternal mental healthcare screenings
-Enhanced tracking and reporting of unexpected and life-threatening complications during pregnancy.
