The Compassionate Purse is returning with a new theme and a powerful purpose: Unmasking the Silence!

Join us November 7th for an evening of dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and masquerade-inspired fun as we come together to support survivors in our community. 🎭✨

The Compassionate Purse benefits Madeline's House and helps us continue providing safety and support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children. 💜

We have so much to share with you over the next few months, and we hope you'll be part of this special event!

Last week, the STEPS family came together to celebrate the incredible careers of our Shred & Recycling team as they enter retirement.

With years of service ranging up to 43 years, these dedicated employees have left a lasting mark on our organization. Their hard work, commitment, and the joy they brought to our workplace will never be forgotten.

At STEPS, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to find meaningful, fulfilling work and to be valued for the unique talents they bring. Our Shred & Recycling program has done exactly that: creating opportunities, building confidence, fostering independence, and reminding us all of the power of inclusion.

While this chapter has come to an end, the impact these remarkable individuals have made on STEPS will remain a part of our story forever. Thank you for your years of dedication, your friendships, your laughter, and everything you've contributed. Your imprint will always be felt, and you will always be a part of our family.

Congratulations on your retirement. We wish you all the happiness this next chapter brings. 🧡

Madeline's House staff and friends were honored to participate in Juneteenth celebrations in Cumberland and Farmville this past week.

These events provided a meaningful opportunity to connect with community members, share information about our services, and celebrate a day that honors freedom, resilience, and the strength of our communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared a conversation, and joined in the celebration! We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with our community and be part of these special events.

On Wednesday, April 29th, we’re inviting our community to take a stand with us. For just $5, you can wear your favorite denim to work and help support survivors right here in our community.

All proceeds will go directly to Madeline’s House, helping provide critical services to those impacted by sexual violence and domestic violence.
