There is still room left for our 4-H Summer Camp from June 22nd to the 26th!

You must first register and be approved in 4HOnline at https://v2.4honline.com/ BEFORE registering for 4-H Camp.

The last day to request financial assistance is this Friday, 5/15/2026.

As a reminder:

4-H Camp is for youth who will turn nine on or before September 30, 2026. Campers are ages 8-14, depending on their birth date.

Youth who turn 14 during the 2026 calendar year may attend in either a camper or a counselor-in-training (CIT) role. CITs receive training before attending camp and are in a transition year. They still attend classes and participate in other activities but also assume additional non-supervisory leadership responsibilities.

In celebration of Earth Day, Prince Edward 4-H is offering free trees and educational material for the youth and their families of Prince Edward County! Please register by completing the form at the link above.

You will be able to pick up your trees and materials from the Extension Office (100 Dominion Dr, Farmville VA 22901) on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22nd from 2:30 to 5:30. If a time is needed outside of this for pick-up, please get in touch to make other arrangements. Email: [email protected]

Our week is June 22nd - 26th and online registration will go live on March 10th at 6:00pm.

You must first register and be approved in 4HOnline at https://v2.4honline.com/ BEFORE registering for 4-H Camp. Please do so by March 6th, if possible. Please contact me if you do not remember your password. Do not create a new account because this will make both of our lives difficult down the road! When prompted, select "2026 Junior 4-H Camp" for club and "Personal Development" for the project.

Join us at Junior 4-H Camp June 22-26!
Registration for campers ages 9-13 and teens ages 14-19 (Buckingham, Charlotte, Lunenburg, and Prince Edward Counties) goes live on March 10th at 6 pm.

4 H Camp builds leadership and responsibility in fun, hands on ways. Campers (ages 9-13) learn teamwork, problem solving, and how to contribute to their group. Teen Leaders and CITs (ages 14-19) learn and refine their leadership skills while working with campers in cooperation with camp staff and adult leaders.

Buckingham, Charlotte, Lunenburg, and Prince Edward counties camp at Holiday Lake 4-H Center June 22-26.

Exciting News for Prince Edward 4-H!!!

We have a new Horse Club starting soon! You don't have to own your own horse.

The interest meeting is Wednesday, Sep. 25th at 5:30 at the Prince Edward Extension office.

We're building on the success of previous Bucket Garden Programs by growing cucumbers this year! This should be a fun experience with a tasty and healthy treat when completed. Please read this entire section to make sure you have all the information and know the expectations.

Cost: $10 due at time of pickup for all materials. (1 Bucket with drainage hole), Screen, Trellis (hopefully), Potting Soil, Seeds, Instructional Material, and Recipes) Financial Assistance is available based on need.

Items will be purchased based on registration numbers. If something comes up and you cannot pickup/pay at the time below, please set up another time. Payment is expected if this registration is completed.

Registration Ends: Monday, July 21st

Pick Up Day for Supplies: Friday, July 25th from 3pm to 5:30pm (If this date and/or time does not work for you, please get in touch to arrange another time.)

Before the items are picked up, the participant must be enrolled in 4HOnline. If they have participated in Prince Edward 4-H since October, 2024, then they are already enrolled. If they have participated before this, their enrollment can be quickly updated. See the bottom of this form for links and more information about 4HOnline enrollment.

Complete this registration form to participate in the 2025 Summer Bucket Garden Program.

Expectations include asking questions when needed, sharing progress and results if possible, and completing a short evaluation at the end of the program.

This is open to Prince Edward youth age 5 to 19.

*Cloverbuds (aged 5-8) will need to do this in partnership with a parent, teen or adult in the household.

**All participants will need assistance depending on ability.

***Payment is due when the items are picked up. Cash (Exact Change Only) and Check (Made payable to Treasurer, VT) will be accepted. There is not an option to pay by credit card online for this program. Items won't be distributed until payment is made. There is a $50 fee applied to returned checks.
