How does one put into words what a decade of their life in service of others meant to them? How do you choose 20 pictures to represent about 2,000 animals, events, people, cases etc?
Over the last decade as the Founder of Jacobs Hope Rescue I have had the privilege of working alongside some amazing volunteers, leaders, veterinary teams, homeowners, fellow rescuers etc. and so many of you have become my friends, my family, my village!
There were so many crazy cases and each time we put the call for help you all answered! Every dollar, every donation, every offer for transport and networking, fostering, transportation etc was a blessing and an honor to receive and I thank you!
From TNR to hoarding, abandoned animals to bottle babies, from helping to bring new life into this world to holding the paw of an animal who was crossing the rainbow bridge.... every single case will be forever etched in my mind and heart. There were good days and bad but each one was filled with the hope of new beginnings and better times for each animal that came through JHR.
Roughly 2,000 cats and dogs, puppies and kittens have gone through Jacobs Hope and none of that could happen without such an amazing group of people and I will be forever grateful to have had your support throughout the journey.
The last few months have been hard with each step getting us closer to finalizing the closure of Jacobs Hope but I am taking comfort in each adoption, each picture that was sent to us showing how amazing our animals are doing in their forever homes.
Thank you to all of the board members past and present, fosters, volunteers, event planners, trappers, donators, rescue partners, Vets and Vet Techs.
Thank you to Karen and all the staff at Pet Supplies Plus in Ronkonkoma. Without you we would never have been able to get the visibility our fosters needed to help them find forever homes without our in store adoption center.
Thank you for all the memories! I will carry them into my future and cherish them always!
