Port Stockton, standing right, is one of New Mexico/Colorado most notorious outlaws, killing 22 men in his life time. The first one when he was 12 years old. He and his wife, Emily Jane will be at Dining With the Dead this year. Port is portrayed by Rick Burns and Emily Jane by Annette Reich. Port is Ike Stockton's older brother. Audra Winters spoke at our 8/20 meeting. She is the Executive Director of the San Juan Medical Foundation.
The Foundation's purpose is to assist San Juan Regional Medical Center with funding for special projects. They were pleased to engage an artist to decorate 4 Pediatric exam rooms in the ER with child-centric art. Also the Connelly House was renovated. The Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund and the Riley Men's Health Fund continue to assist men and women with payments for their cancer treatments.

Gracia Lena Waggoner is portrayed by Shelly Diede in Dining with the Dead on Sept 12. in historical Greenlawn Cemetery. Gracia was born in 1884 in the Dakota Territory. Her family moved to Flora Vista and at the age of 15, she and her 36 year old neighbor were married by the Reverend Hugh Griffin. Hers is a story of a true pioneer woman and one of the few people who survived the Spanish Flu.

Audra Winters, Executive Director for the San Juan Medical Foundation, is Kiwanis speaker Thursday noon at No Worries. We serve alongside San Juan Regional Medical Center to meet the community's healthcare needs and goals. The foundation administers two patient support funds, the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund and the Riley Men’s Health Fund. The foundation also owns and operates the Connelly Hospitality House, a home away from home for cancer patients.

We were happy to see again at our 8/13 meeting Seth Bingham of the Day of Remembrance, 9/11 , and the Day of Service in memory of the brave First Responders who lost their lives on that infamous day.

Service projects will be available to help non-profit organizations with their needs. Please refer to the attached flyer for details.

Shelly Diede portrays Gracia Lena Caameron Waggoner, Deborah Kai portrays Grace Hood (Hood Mesa) Stephen Fishman portrays an 1890's photographer, and Jean Bougeant portrays Peter Knickbocker. Not shown was Rick Burns who portrays Port Stockton. Many thanks to our actors for donating your time for Encore members enjoyment!
