This is just a reminder that, in honor of LGBTQ History Month, our Banned Book Club's last discussion meeting of the year will be about This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson. The meeting will be this Saturday at 2 pm at the Farmington Public Library. We hope to see you there!

We are excited to announce that, in honor of LGBTQ History Month and the coming of Saturween (real ones get it!), we are holding a costume party and tie-dye pride fundraiser in Desloge Park on October 31st at noon. We will be selling custom tie-dye shirts for $7. We will also be holding a costume contest where the winner will win a free custom tie-dye shirt and there will be free food and drinks for those who just want to hang out. Feel free to invite your friends and we hope to see you there!

In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, the last book our Banned Book Club will be discussing this year is This Book Is Gay by Juno Dawson. We will meet on October 17th at 2 pm at the Farmington Public Library. We hope to see you there so we can finish this first year of Banned Book Club off strong!

This is a quick reminder that on Saturday, we are going to have a Proletariat Potluck at noon at the Farmington Public Library and then our monthly meeting right after at 2 pm. Thank you to everyone who showed up to Friday's protest at the Park Hills City Hall. Not only did we make our voices heard, but we were also able to donate bottled water to families that needed it! If you are interested in joining our chapter, you're in luck because we have multiple events in the coming weeks.
On Friday, we will be protesting at the Park Hills City Hall against 390 households having their water shut off by the City of Park Hills and hosting a mutual aid table to help provide people with drinking water. If you know anyone in our area in need of water, please invite them to this event.
This Saturday, our Banned Book Club will be discussing Nickel and Dimed at 2 pm at the Farmington Public Library.
Finally, on October 3rd, we will have our monthly chapter meeting at 2 pm and a potluck at 12 pm at the Farmington Public Library. If you are interested in attending the potluck, please fill out the form attached in the comments below. We hope to see you at any or all of these great events!

To all of our followers, get this shared because this is urgent! The City of Park Hills and Mayor Stacey Easter has announced that during one of the hottest summers in recent memory and a war that has raised costs for everyone, they are cutting off running water to 390 households in the Park Hills area due to payments being past due! This is a travesty that everyone, regardless of politics, should find unacceptable. That is why we are holding a protest at Park Hills City Hall this Friday to make our voices heard! Please share this post and come out so we can help these families in Park Hills keep their water running.
