Before the first camper arrives and long after the last one heads home, our maintenance team is out there keeping Camp Courant running. Fixing, mowing, patching and repairing, they're saving camp for our kids one day at a time.

Carlos and Luis, thank you for everything you do behind the scenes. Heroes don't always wear capes. Sometimes they carry a toolbox.

This year's Buddy Bash had a hero leading the charge: our Walk of Heroes Presenting Sponsor, Johnson Brunetti.

As Trusted Retirement & Investment Specialists, Johnson Brunetti's work centers on helping Connecticut families prepare for what lies ahead. Their partnership with Camp Courant extends that same commitment to Hartford's youngest residents, giving children the confidence and opportunities to shape their own futures.

No hero works alone. We are equally grateful to the corporate sponsors, community partners, restaurants, and beverage providers whose names filled our sponsor boards and whose generosity filled the room. Swipe to see the full lineup of heroes who made the night possible.

Thank you for rising to the mission. Heroes start here.

The signal is up, Connecticut: we still need YOU.

Camp Courant's future has never rested on one hero. For more than 130 years, it has taken a whole community of them to give Hartford children a free summer full of swimming, friendships, and new adventures.

Every gift, volunteer hour, sponsorship, and word-of-mouth recommendation keeps that mission going. You don't need a cape to change a child's summer.

What a night! The 2026 Buddy Bash brought our community together and raised more than $130,000 for the children of Camp Courant. Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving kids in Hartford a summer they will remember.

Events like this only come together with the help of many partners. Our sincere thanks go to the restaurants, beverage, and service providers who created such a memorable evening, and to the loyal corporate sponsors who return each year to stand behind our mission.

We are especially grateful to Jimmy Altman and Matt Scott of FOX61, whose enthusiasm as our emcees set the tone for the entire evening.

To everyone who attended, sponsored, volunteered, or donated, thank you for being part of something bigger than one night. Gifts are still being accepted at https://pro.gofundme.com/give/658931 #!/donation/checkout

Since 1894, Camp Courant has provided Hartford children with a free summer camp experience. For more than 130 years, we have proudly been the oldest and largest free summer day camp in the nation.

This year, funding shortfalls required us to make difficult decisions. We served fewer children and offered fewer programs than we had planned.

Our campers never felt the impact. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, every child still enjoyed a full summer of swimming, athletics, the arts, and friendship, just as generations of campers have before them.

With your support, we can uphold a promise that has lasted 130 years and welcome every child back next summer.

Buddy Bash has wrapped, but you can still be a hero. Please consider making a gift today.
