San Juan College Volunteer Center The Center directly reflects San Juan College's goal of addressing community needs through service leadership.

The Volunteer Center works closely with organizations and serves as a link for community members, faculty, students and local businesses to volunteers in the community. The Volunteer Center houses two main programs; The Community Volunteer Program and Connections to Student Success. The Community Volunteer Program partners with mostly non-profit agencies within San Juan County to identify areas th

e agencies need assistance in and compare those needs with volunteer experience, goals and areas of interest to volunteers. The Volunteer Center acts as a referral center to match volunteer opportunities with volunteers interests and strengths. The Connections to Student Success is a list of referrals that include childcare agencies, transportation options, employment opportunities, health needs and so much more for San Juan College students. SJC Student Engagement needs volunteers to help with the Luminaria event. Contact Hannah Messenger at 505-566-3588 to sign up.
* Saturday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm - Setting up bags
* Saturday, 3:00 pm-5:00 pm - Lighting candles
* Saturday, 8:00 pm-11:00 pm - Relighting candles
* Sunday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm - Clean up

Volunteers needed who can provide daycare services for the children of clients while they attend their Parenting classes at the Family Crisis Center (FCC).

Parenting classes ae held twice a week starting in May.
Every volunteer MUST complete a background check before volunteering their time at the FCC.
