How can wood floor cleaners be dangerous?

Wood floor cleaners are usually based on hydrocarbons, detergents, or glycol ether solvents. Each type carries its own precautions and potential adverse effects. Floor cleaners can also contain alcohol, weak acids, or alkaline chemicals to strengthen their cleaning properties.

These are all possibly toxic ingredients. If anyone swallows these chemicals, call Poison Control immediately!

What's this "dry scooping" I keep hearing about?

Dry scooping means ingesting a tablespoon of pre-workout powder all at once (with no water). The presents a choking hazard, but most importantly the concentration of caffeine in the pre-workout powder is unregulated and can be quite high causing dangerous heart rhythms and possibly seizures

Best to avoid dry scooping (of anything)!

Headed to the beach?
Stay out of the water when jellyfish are known to be numerous in a particular area.



If you are stung by a jellyfish, rinse the area with plenty of sea water. Do NOT use fresh water.
Avoid vinegar, ammonia, alcohol, or other liquids unless you know what type of jellyfish it was and the best treatment for that particular type.
