Ten years ago, the Dorman family lost their beloved daughter, Caroline. She was creative, smart, and she loved animals — so much so that she dedicated 8 years of her life to the pets at the Connecticut Humane Society. Providing love to critters of all shapes and sizes, she especially loved Pit Bulls (and they certainly loved her back)!
After her untimely passing, Caroline’s family and friends knew they wanted to continue providing for pets the way that Caroline had, and so they initiated the Caroline Dorman Memorial Benefit — now Fund. From the community’s love for Caroline, the Dormans have raised nearly $150,000 for local pets. In 2025, donations totaled just over $18,000: an incredible tribute to Caroline’s legacy.
Though nothing can ease the pain of Caroline’s loss, the kindnesses this fund continuously provides pets has contributed to hope, healing, and happiness for numerous pets and families. Thank you all for your ongoing support of the Caroline Dorman Memorial Benefit Fund.
