Houses with Hope Houses with Hope are homes built in Africa for widows taking care of orphans for only $400 each. Our mission is simple. and around the world.

Houses with Hope builds homes for orphans and disadvantaged families in Africa and provides assistance to victims of humanitarian crises. African villagers decide who needs a house the most, and then they donate the land for the home. In one day’s time, volunteer teams from the United States work with the villagers to build a house at a cost of only $400.00. Houses with Hope also helps provide food, clothing, education, and medical care to orphans in Africa and underprivileged families in the U.S. In addition, sustainable development, business opportunities, agriculture and water projects, as well as job and leadership training are ongoing projects of Houses with Hope. In times of natural disasters, Houses with Hope provides emergency assistance. This includes food, shelter, clothes, and medical aid. Houses with Hope also partners with other non-profit organizations to support these efforts. Houses with Hope sponsors short-term volunteer mission teams from the United States to Kenya. The young man in the middle of this photo is Brian Otieno, who is blind and cannot hear or speak. In Kenya when you are an adult you can no longer live with your parents. This is the home Houses with Hope just built for Brian, minus the mudding and the door, which was constructed next to his mother's house. She is the woman on the right and is the one who takes care of him.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who comes alongside Houses with Hope to help the most vulnerable and the poorest of the poor.

Kenya mission trip update. The $400 House. Though we have numerous ministries, after 26 years the $400 House is still our "signature" project.

Home construction is always ongoing, but during this trip we will be building twenty homes and distributing mattresses, blankets, food, and Bibles.

We are deeply humbled and honored to have the opportunity to bless countless widows, orphans, and vulnerable families, and to continue making a profound difference in lives generationally.

Kenya update. This week we distributed rice and beans to thousands affected by drought and famine. Most of these children and families have had little to no food for quite some time. It is humbling and heartbreaking but also a privilege to be involved with critical relief efforts.

I am back in Kenya for a few weeks checking on our ministries and projects, and exploring new opportunities for Houses with Hope.

For the first few days we held meetings with our hospital staff at Emmanuel Community Hospital in Nairobi and then concluded with a chicken dinner, which has become a tradition.

Then we went to an all day football (soccer) tournament that the hospital sponsors for disadvantaged youth throughout the community. Players, parents, and really enjoyed themselves. The next one will
include a free medical clinic. The last time we did this over 650 people received medical treatment.

Also began laying the groundwork for a
a National Leadership Conference in Nairobi in 2027. Really excited about the talented team being assembled to organize the event.

Want to thank everyone who supports Houses with Hope and all the programs and ministries we do. Will provide updates throughout the trip.
