Thank you to Farmington High School and Kayla Pratte for creating this event and inviting us to be part of Transition Night during Open House!
It was wonderful to see such a great turnout of students preparing to return to school next week. We appreciated the opportunity to share valuable information and resources to help students identify their needs, plan for their goals, and prepare for life beyond high school.
We are excited for a great school year ahead and grateful for partnerships that support students and their families as they plan for their future!

๐Ÿ’™ National Non-Profit Day ๐Ÿ’™

Annually on the 17th of August, we observe National Nonprofit Day, recognizes the tremendous impact nonprofit organizations have in strengthening communities and improving lives. From providing essential services and resources to advocating for those in need, nonprofits play a vital role in addressing challenges, creating opportunities, and promoting positive change.
This special day serves as a reminder to celebrate the dedication of nonprofit organizations, their staff, volunteers, and supporters who work tirelessly to make a difference. It is also an opportunity to support their missions through volunteering, donations, advocacy, and community involvement. Together, we can help build stronger, more inclusive communities and create a brighter future for all.
The St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled proudly operates as a nonprofit organization governed by a nine-member Board of Directors appointed by the St. Francois County Commission. Since the passage of the county mill tax in August 1980, the Board has been dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities by funding, providing, and promoting services that enhance independence, inclusion, and quality of life.
The Board has worked alongside local agencies, families, and community partners to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities have access to the resources, supports, and opportunities they need to thrive. On National Nonprofit Day, we celebrate the collective efforts of nonprofits everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to serving the citizens of St. Francois County with compassion, purpose, and dedication.

Together, we can continue creating a community where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
