It is wonderful seeing a state association coming together and supporting each other. What other states have associations coming together this year?

Last week, Kentucky AmeriCorps program directors gathered at Natural Bridge State Resort Park for planning, collaboration, and professional development as they prepare for the upcoming program year. Participants received valuable training, shared promising practices, and explored workforce development resources designed to support AmeriCorps members as they serve communities across Kentucky.

Thank you to our program leaders for their commitment to strengthening national service and expanding opportunities for members throughout the Commonwealth.

✨ Why Join NACSA? ✨
Joining the National AmeriCorps Seniors Association (NACSA) connects you to a powerful network of professionals dedicated to strengthening Foster Grandparent (FGP), Senior Companion (SCP), and RSVP programs nationwide. NACSA serves as a unified voice for stipended and non-stipended AmeriCorps Seniors programs, helping ensure our collective impact continues to grow.
Membership offers valuable opportunities for collaboration, professional development, advocacy, and the sharing of best practices that help our programs thrive. Members also benefit from Solutions & Strategies workshops held every other month, providing timely, practical guidance you can use right away.
We warmly invite you to join a NACSA committee — a meaningful way to build relationships, share your expertise, and help shape the future of AmeriCorps Seniors programming.
💡 Good to know: NACSA membership is an allowable AmeriCorps Seniors expense (when properly budgeted and aligned with grant guidance).
Whether you're looking to grow professionally, stay informed on policy updates, or connect with peers across the country, NACSA membership is an investment in both your program’s success and the future of national service.

We love to highlight what our AmeriCorps Senior Programs are doing.

From Laura Kinder and Spark the Change Colorado

On June 2, Spark's Senior Companion Program was honored to host members of the AmeriCorps Mountain Region leadership team. We met at the Castlewood Library in Centennial, CO where three of our Senior Companion Volunteers each brought one of their clients. After introductions, our volunteers and their clients talked about what they do on their visits and how they feel they have been impacted by the program. Volunteers overwhelmingly agreed that being a volunteer brings purpose to their lives and the clients shared that having a companion allows them to be out in their communities doing the things they need to do as well as what they love to do. We were told that the leadership team was very impressed with the work we are doing.

It's a great time to reach out to your representatives.

Congress is back in DC & making FY27 funding decisions this week. They need to hear directly from the people and communities who know the value of AmeriCorps.

If AmeriCorps has made a difference in your life or your community, now is the time to act.

Email Congress today: bit.ly/TakeActionAC.

They had a great time with Robin Corindo, Emily Pratt, Christine Mulvin, John Leverson, Jennifer Crittenden, Cynthia Cushing, and Jennifer Jain.
