This month, the KBE Foundation proudly awarded $18,000 in scholarships to 18 outstanding students pursuing careers in the construction industry. Since launching in 2015, our Construction Careers Scholarship program has provided more than $160,000 in financial assistance to graduating seniors from the Connecticut Technical High School System and beyond.

This is one of our favorite events each year. Not only are we able to support students financially, but we also have the opportunity to celebrate their ambition, optimism, and potential at our award ceremony. There is something incredibly rewarding about sitting in a room with the future leaders of our industry and hearing about their career goals.

While many scholarship programs focus only on college tuition, the KBE Foundation’s Construction Careers Scholarship supports multiple career paths within the industry, including the skilled trades. Scholarship funds can be used toward tools, licensing exams, safety certifications, or college tuition for students pursuing degrees in construction management. No matter which path they choose, we are always grateful for the opportunity to help these students build a strong foundation for their future 🏗️

Shoutout to our KBE Foundation volunteers for hosting another successful food drive this year! 💙

In honor of National Nutrition Month, our team came together to ensure members of our community have not only access to food, but options for creating healthy meals. We’re grateful to everyone who stepped up and donated during this important time.

All contributions were delivered to the Plainville Community Food Pantry, a local organization making a big difference. Thank you for the tour and for showing us the impact these donations have throughout the year!

We had such a great time at the 2026 Annual Awards Dinner for Special Olympics Connecticut as a Co-Presenting Sponsor 🥂

It was an incredible night celebrating the athletes, volunteers, and community members who make the organization and all of its events so special. Congratulations to all of the evening’s award winners 🏆!

Last month, the KBE Foundation teamed up with United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut to assemble care packages to support interview success. These packages included all the essentials one might need, such as folders, notebooks, workforce resources, and even a bus pass. Most importantly, our team wrote inspirational notes to include in every single bag to help boost recipients’ morale 💌

We had an amazing time and were so grateful that the event coordinator was able to share more about the importance of United Way’s work in Connecticut and across the country. We can’t wait for our next event with them!

Since January, our volunteers have worked tirelessly to uplift our community. From building playhouses and raising scholarship funds to organizing food drives and serving meals to veterans, our team has gone above and beyond to make every day count. Our annual KBE tradition continues! 🦃

The KBE Foundation closed out 2025 with another amazing Gift of Gobble event! Now in its 17th consecutive year, this annual tradition has become one of our most meaningful, bringing together folks from KBE Building Corporation, Elite Construction Resources LLC, and CMP Exterior, LLC to package and deliver 500 full Thanksgiving meals to families across Connecticut.

This day is always a reminder of what community looks like in action.

As we close out the year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every one of our volunteers, partners, and community members who make our work possible. From building playhouses to packing Thanksgiving meals, our volunteers continue to go above and beyond for their neighbors.

Our KBE Foundation volunteers rolled up their sleeves and spent the day with Habitat for Humanity, supporting their mission to provide healthy, sustainable housing for our local community. From installing siding to building stairs, our team even picked up some new handy skills along the way 😉 We’re proud to continue our multi-year tradition of supporting both full home builds and playhouse builds that make a meaningful impact in our communities.

Our 9th Annual KBE Foundation Golf Tournament was a tremendous success! None of it would have been possible without the hard work of our incredible volunteers and the support of our amazing golfers. ⛳

This tournament is one of our biggest events of the year, with proceeds supporting community-based initiatives such as our Construction Careers Scholarship Program. Earlier this year, we received more scholarship applications than ever before. Thanks to events like the Golf Tournament, we are able to consistently provide opportunities and invest in the next generation of construction leaders.

Thank you to the Country Club of Waterbury and to our wonderful sponsors, including our amazing trade partners, design partners, and clients. We cannot wait to see you again next year! 👏

Yesterday marked the 6th year of the KBE Foundation’s tradition of serving up delicious BBQ lunches at the state-run VA Center in Newington, CT.

Since 2019, our volunteers — alongside our amazing partners at MISSION BBQ — have provided free meals as a small way to thank those who’ve served our country. This year was no different. Our team came ready with food, smiles, and open ears to hear the incredible stories of veterans who’ve given their all.

A huge thank-you to Mission BBQ for standing by our side each year, and to our dedicated volunteers for making this event possible.
