Abstract submissions are now being accepted for the 2026 Great Eight resident showcase! The Great Eight was introduced in 2012 to spotlight the work of CSHP’s Resident Members. As of 2024, CSHP decided to open the Great Eight to all Residents in the state of Connecticut and the winning eight will receive a one year of complimentary CSHP Resident Membership. Congratulations to Christina Hatfield, PharmD, MBA, CPEL for receiving ASHP's Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader credential and being chosen as CSHP's Member of the Month!

Achievement of the CPEL credential is based on a rigorous selection process. This credential is awarded to candidates who have validated professional and leadership competencies in professionalism, leading people, and leading the pharmacy enterprise within and across complex health care systems. The CPEL credential also demonstrates a commitment to achieving and maintaining excellence in pharmacy leadership.

Christina was chosen as CSHP's member of the month for her leadership as the Pharmacy Director at Hartford Hospital. In this role, she has led the growth of the department, including the addition of numerous new pharmacist positions, expansion of pharmacist dosing services, and use of data to identify opportunities for change. In addition, she is engaged in CSHP's Advocacy Committee to advance the practice of pharmacy within the state.
