Good afternoon everyone,

I think Jan, Karen & I got our steps in today. All the veteran graves have been marked with flags except for 6. I will go back and locate them within the week since I now know where they are and what their headstones look like.

For anyone who wants to join us next week Saturday, December 17, 2022, please be at the Masonic Cemetery South on Henry Street by 10:30am. The formal ceremony starts promptly at 11:00 with help from the JROTC, the American Legion & VFW and the members of the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter, NSDAR. The wreaths will be placed on each grave that is marked with an American Flag.

We hope that everyone will come and participate in this very moving and important ceremony to honor those veterans who are laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery South and the Old Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Parking will be along Washington, Park & Carter Streets. There will be no parking in the center drive of the cemetery. Following this ceremony a wreath will also be placed at the Alexander Cemetery and the Murphy Cemetery.

Good morning everyone,

The goal has been met and we will be placing a wreath on the grave of every veteran who is laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery South Cemetery on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00AM.

Please come out and join the members of the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter, NSDAR to place these wreaths. We encourage everyone to bring their children to remember these men who served our country, to honor their legacy and to teach them the importance of everyone's freedom in this great country of ours. We have 66 wreaths to place and would love for everyone to have the opportunity to help us!!!!

Thank you to Michelle Montgomery, Lori Deer, the Norman L. Rigdon Post #5896, the American Legion Post $416, the Farmington Senior High JROTC and the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter, NSDAR for sponsoring these wreaths.

Good afternoon everyone,

Welcome to our page honoring those veterans who Wreaths Across America will honor on December 18, 2021 with laying a wreath at their final resting place.

Over the next few months Dana Joines, Suzanne Robinson Kay, Lori Deer (proud Navy veteran) and Karen Kleinberg will be reaching out to different organizations to share information about Wreaths Across America and how anyone in the community can participate in the ceremonies along with members of the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter, NSDAR.

Some of our members have walked the cemetery and located about 20 veterans. If anyone reading this posting knows of a veteran who is laid to rest there, please leave their name in the comments below. We want to make sure we recognize every veteran there.
