We’ve loved having Kenzie as part of our recovery center community during her summer internship through the University of Maine at Farmington!
Whether she was sitting down for one-on-one conversations, helping people navigate resources, playing a game with peers, or helping prepare Connection Café meals, she brought warmth and energy to our peer community every single day.
Throughout the summer, Kenzie dove into the heart of recovery community work—representing the center at community tabling events, organizing resources, building partner connections, and completing her training to become a peer recovery coach.
Kenzie is now kicking off her senior year, where she will graduate next May with a bachelor’s degree in psychology before pursuing a master’s.
We are so grateful she chose to spend her internship with us, and we are so happy she will continue at the center as a volunteer peer recovery coach.
Wishing you an incredible senior year, Kenzie—we’re so grateful for your time and dedication! 💚
