Join us at the 2026 Concrete Innovation Forum for an important contractor panel on consistency and reliability when placing and finishing PLC mixes, moderated by ACI President, Scott M. Anderson.

PLC has become a widely used binder in concrete mixes today. However, its use presents important considerations in the field. This panel will address the key information contractors need to understand:
• Real case studies from the field
• Best practices for placing and finishing PLC mixes
• The most common challenges and how to solve them
• A direct opportunity for contractors to voice their needs when adapting to new materials

You will hear from four experienced panelists:
• John D. Fauth, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, ChemMasters, Inc.
• Bob Harris, FACI, Senior Decorative Concrete Consultant and Principal, Structural Services, Inc.
• Jason D. Wimberly, PE, MCE, FACI, High Performance Concrete Technical Lead, Lithko Contracting
• Adam Neuwald, PE, Vice President Technical Services, Concrete Supply Company

As we head into this Memorial Day weekend, let’s take a moment to honor those who have served our country. The ACI Foundation’s Veteran Rebate Program provides a $250 rebate to U.S. military veterans who achieve ACI certification, helping them build skills, earn credentials, and advance their careers.

Mark Dornak, a veteran and ACI Houston Chapter Certification Chair, reminds us, “We owe it to them to support their efforts.”

Every $5,000 raised helps 20 veterans, but this program needs your support to continue making an impact. Let’s come together to honor their service and help them succeed.

In case you missed it, the March 2026 issue of ACI's CI Magazine featured an incredible article highlighting a presentation by David Shook and Garrett Benisch at the ACI Foundation 2025 Concrete Innovation Forum. Their talk, “Early Application of Biochar in Concrete through Stakeholder Education and Buy-in,” explored biochar’s game-changing potential for permanent carbon storage and its role in creating low-carbon concrete solutions.

This presentation showcased the urgency of adopting low-carbon materials, the innovative process of transforming wastewater biosolids into biochar, and its successful application in projects like the “low-carbon campus” in Oakland, CA. It also highlighted the critical importance of stakeholder collaboration in advancing sustainable technologies in construction.

If you’re passionate about staying ahead in the concrete industry and learning about groundbreaking innovations like this, you can’t afford to miss the 2026 Concrete Innovation Forum, happening August 18-20, 2026, in Columbus, OH. This is your opportunity to connect with industry leaders, explore cutting-edge advancements, and gain the insights you need to drive the future of concrete innovation.
