We were so happy last week when the City Council approved the use of Library Park for a Dog Park. This Park has been trashed and vandalized in the past years and even though the Historical Society donated a lot of money and effort to restore it the vandals have destroyed everything they have done. We thought by having a Dog Park here we would encourage residents and guests to join us here and take pride in keeping this Park safe and clean. We have been doing Yappy Hour for 6 years and have found 99% of all dog owners are responsible for their pets and not only clean up after them but take control of their pets in all situations. Sad to say some of our residents are up in arms about this Park being sanctioned for a Dog Park. This is a shame because a big reason many people buy and rent in Asbury Park is because it is such an animal friendly town.
I would like to ask anyone who can to join us at the City Council Meeting tonight at 7 pm for the Public Participation Session and give your support to our cause. Thank You!!! Debbie
