2025 Memorial Day Parade
The 52nd Annual Memorial Day Parade is being held on Monday, May 26, 2025 โ rain or shine.
We are posting to share the parade agenda, which includes updates to road closures.
Memorial Day Parade Agenda
9:30 am - the following roads will be CLOSED: Southard Avenue, Walnut Street, Chestnut Street and Academy Street (from Southard Avenue to West Main Street). Residents on these roads: BE AWARE, if you need to leave your home between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm on parade day, you need to find alternate parking. You (and any guests) will not be able to leave or return to your residence by vehicle from 9:30 am โ 2:00 pm.
NO PARKING will be allowed on either side of the street
Please make every effort to remove cars from these streets by 9:30 am.
Only floats and parade participants will be permitted on the roads listed above after 9:30 am on Parade Day.
11:00 am - Main Street Market Begins: located between Connieโs and Milk Can Antiques off Main Street, vendors will offer items for purchase prior to and after the parade.
11:30 am - Memorial Day Ceremony at Lutz Park: Howell Township VFW Memorial Post will host a ceremony at 11:30 am in Lutz Park to honor fallen service members.
12:00 pm - All Roads CLOSED: all roads leading into and out of Farmingdale will be closed.
There will be no traffic allowed in or out of Farmingdale after 12:00. Please plan accordingly. Residents of the Borough: if you need to leave your home between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm on parade day, you need to find alternate parking. You (and any guests) will not be able to leave or return to your residence by vehicle from 12:00 pm โ 2:00 pm.
1:00 pm โ PARADE BEGINS: join us along Main Street and the parade route as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
2:00 pm (approximately) - Parade Ends: all spectators are asked to wait for the entire parade to be complete before using vehicles on the road. NOTE: Academy Street (from Southard Avenue to West Main Street), Southard Avenue, Walnut Street, Chestnut Street will be the last roads to reopen. No vehicles will be allowed on the roads for the safety of the parade participants until the parade route is completely cleared.
