🎉 **4-H Day at the Capitol was a huge success!** 🎉
Union 4-H had an incredible experience joining fellow 4-H and FFA members for a day full of learning, leadership, and fun! We’re especially proud of our **three Junior Leaders** who represented Union along with the NE Regional Leader Board —what an amazing achievement! 👏
Our day included a guided tour of the Capitol, where we had the opportunity to meet with state senators and share the impact of 4-H. We also attended the Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development Committee meeting, where our very own State Senator Stewart Cathey, Jr. presided. Such an inspiring moment for our group!
Lunch was held on the beautiful grounds of the Pentagon Barracks, generously provided by the Cattlemen’s Association, Louisiana Egg Commission, USA Rice, and LSU AgCenter. The keynote speakers made the experience even more meaningful and memorable.
In the afternoon, our group enjoyed a driving tour of LSU’s campus and a stop at the LSU bookstore. On the way home, we explored the historic Myrtles Plantation with a tour of the home and grounds—thank you to their wonderful staff for such a warm welcome!
We wrapped up the day with a delicious Mexican dinner in Vidalia before heading home. 🌮
Union 4-H continues to create opportunities that build leaders, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Don’t miss out—exciting events like 4-H University and Summer Camp are just around the corner! 💚
